Cross-stitch, Day 2+
I worked on my new cross-stitch project a little further today, and here’s where I was as of this afternoon:

I also tried searching around for some more interesting patterns, and had a little bit of luck on some Korean and Japanese sites. Nothing more than a small image here or there, but enough to get me thinking that maybe I should just sit down and find some images to make my own patterns with.
I did also order a kit designed by Pinn Stitch, the company that made the Ganesh one I did awhile ago. It’s a bit larger than I realized though, so I don’t know if I’ll jump right into that one after the current one is done, but we’ll see. The previous kit I had from them was really well done though, so that’s good at least.
Thanks for everyone’s comments on yesterday’s post by the way. Ismoyo recommended the Knitpro tool for converting images into charts; it’s similar to another tool I remember trying out, though that one has been taken down and turned into a craft store instead.
And Distel guessed that the design might be of a butterfly; it’s not, but I can see how it might look that way. What does it look like today?

Today it looks like… ??
I must confess I’ve been looking at it now for 10 minutes and I have no idea.
The new shape at the top reminds me of a VW Beetle car ;-))
I think I’ll have to follow this story to the end to find out.
Or maybe someone else can guess what it is!

Something like that crossed my mind too

Could it be the start of a Geisha’s head? I worked a needlepoint Geisha a number of years ago, and it looks similar to the top of her head. As far as some interesting patterns, there are literally, a gazillion cross stitch patterns out there…Dimensions has some beautiful cross stitch kit, both counted and stamped, if you are interested in a kit. Anyway, I’ll check back later to see if my Geisha guess was a good one…
